P.P.Unnikrishnan...

This person is of importance to my husband, in many aspects of his professional life as well as personal life.  He stood in the forefront of cultural, artistic and employees association activities in my husband's office.  He came up with beautiful poetry whenever somebody retired from service.  He often took part in programs merely for the purpose of participation, so that no program would be cancelled due to the shortage of participants.  There is no doubt about his abilities and talents which enables him to participate in such programs.  But above all these he wanted the programs and activities to go on...

He retired from government service yesterday, the 30th of August, 2013.  This portrait was presented to him by my husband on the occasion of his retirement.

Nithya Menon

This is a pencil drawing of Nithya Menon, Malayalam film actress. Akasa Gopuram with Mohanlal, directed by national award winning director K.P.Kumaran was her debut in Malayalam Film Industry. Prior to this she acted in a Movie in Kannada Language. She has lots of fans.  She is a good singer. Her recent films are Urumi, Apoorva Ragam, etc.

Self Portrait

My husband was idle in the area of art for some time.  Now he is doing a pencil portrait.  It is yet to be completed.  Meanwhile, I found a self portrait, based on some photograph.  I am publishing this.  This is too tiny. About 4X4 inches in size.  As I wanted to publish some work from him, I am publishing this.  I hope to publish the other work soon.

digital experiment...

this is a digital experiment using the bare minimum MS Paint. The inspiration is traditional temple art which is used while doing offerings to gods.  Traditionally this is drawn using natural colors taken out of leaves, different colors of sand and other materials which are organic...
