"The mysterious background" (apple) is done with 2 different oil pastel browns (so, 2 layers) on green paper, with short strokes in all directions. :)
It is my first try with oil pastel.

"old mom" - I like the smile, the color of the lipstick that matches that of the garment, the broad motherly face, the short grey hair.
